Plug The Charger Into An Outlet And Insert A Battery.


The battery set should have been properly charged as per the commissioning instructions of the battery manufacturer for the duration specified. Remove the batteries and power on. The black probe should be used on the negative side of the charger, while the red probe should be used on the positive side.

Check both the positive and the negative as well as the ground and if these check out, then start testing the connections between the components on the front of the battery charger. If there are any other batteries charging in the unit then remove them. Check continuity across the meter and the connections leading to the fuse.

The meter should read near or equal to the battery’s rated voltage. If you’re testing a receptacle charger like the kind used to reload rechargeable batteries, hold it to an exposed section of metal on the side of the charging chamber marked. If the charger you’re testing has a power supply cord, press the tip of the probe to a side of the metal prong at the end of the jack.
